I went to a place called Alnwick Castle. It was built in the 1400's I think and the Duke of Northumberland still lives there with his family. I got to go inside and look around in the rooms and it was fantastic but I couldn't take any pictures of it. It really is just like the movies, vaulted ceilings with ornate decorations and portraits of the past Dukes. Part of Harry Potter was also filmed at this castle and it has a giant treehouse with a restaurant in it and a huge garden in the back.
